Dear Family and Friends,
This is one of those e-mails that is a little awkward to write since it’s about money. But since “He owns the cattle on a thousand hills”, it really shouldn’t matter because all that any of us “owns” really belongs to the Lord anyway, though He’s entrusted us as stewards. Still, none of us likes to ask but we do feel that we need to be open and honest about our needs here in Tanzania. It’s the Lords work; we are the ones sent but many of you are the senders, perhaps more of you will join us in this partnership to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to so many here in TZ through medical ministry.
Right now we are receiving about 88% of our monthly target. In other words, we need $745.00 more per month in order to be fully supported.
We’ve tried to put a lot of information on our blogsite, http://jmeager.aimsites.org/, that hopefully gives a picture of the mission work here. Obviously, our primary focus is medical work, and proclaiming Christ’s love through our medical outreach to the people groups here in the Usandawe area. But we’ve also enjoyed being involved in wider ministry with the local churches, trying to enable and equip local believers. There are various posts and projects on the blogsite that talk about some those ‘extra-medical’ things.
We want to say we are SO THANKFUL to all of you who regularly support our work here in Africa with your prayers and financial giving. We wouldn’t be able to do what God has called us to do here in rural Tanzania without wonderful partners like yourselves to send us. Many of you have been supporting us financially for as long as we’ve been on the field, and we really appreciate such generosity and long term commitment. A number of you joined our support team a couple years ago when we were on furlough in the States.
If you feel lead to join our Support Team, there are a number of different ways to go about it. We work through Africa Inland Mission. There is a way to set up automatic contributions. The mission website, http://www.aimint.org/usa/, has information under the ‘Give’ tab regarding automatic contributions.
Or, checks made out to “Africa Inland Mission” and sent with a separate note stating “for the support of Jonathan and Melissa Eager” to:

Thank you for listening and considering being a part of a medical mission effort in Africa!
Blessings in Christ,
Jon and Melissa
